I know most of us are getting a little stir crazy with the current situation in the world right now. I personally have a hard time sitting still and keeping my self occupied but I found some things to do that have helped me relax, stay calm and help my mental health.
1. Take a walk outside - It's okay to be outside right now. You can still keep your distance in non popular areas while getting fresh air and exercise.
2. Clean - Since it's pretty much spring, spring cleaning is in full swing! Take this time to deep clean and Marie Kondo your space.
3. Meditate - Guided mediation is helpful for those who don't usually mediate. You can find some great videos on YouTube and the Headspace app offers tons of options for every situation.
4. Read - Doesn't have to be a book. A magazine, blogs, news articles, positive quotes always help me relax and forget reality.
5. Watch your favorite movie or series - We all have those comfort movies, take advantage of them! Or start a new series and binge it! I love getting involved in new TV shows. If you're into True Crime, check out my blog with lots of series.
6. Self Care - Give yourself a manicure, face mask or hair mask. Make yourself a nice lunch. Eat outside. Take a bubble bath. Have a treat.
7. Find a creative outlet - Water color, paint, write, photography, create content, drawing. Anything to keep your hands and mind busy.
8. Play with your furry friends - Animals really make everything better. They help with stress, anxiety and mental health.
9. Create your own ambiance - If you like cafes in the rain while listening to jazz, make it happen. If it's the beach, put on some waves.
10. Stay Calm - As hard as it may seem, try to continue with your life. Keep in touch with the world but take care of yourself first.
Don't forget: WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
