I'm so insanely happy to finally cross this off my list! Rob and I have been talking about Seattle for a while now and it felt so surreal to make it happen!
I partnered up with Hotel Vintage Seattle, a vintage, cozy hotel located in the middle of Downtown Seattle. This hotel has the BEST location, we walked to all of our destinations! They offer valet parking, complimentary wine hour every night and are pet friendly. Not to mention the beautiful views of the city! I can't thank them enough for making our first time in Seattle so easy!
They also have an Italian restaurant located inside the hotel called Tulio. We opted for room service and this was some of the best Italian I've ever had!
Our first stop was THE FIRST STARBUCKS! I've been waiting for this moment for so long and I might have cried haha. It was so stinkin' cute and quaint and everything I thought it'd be. We went on Friday morning and totally lucked out without having to wait in line! On Saturday, there was a line almost around the building so try to visit on a weekday if you can!
February is museum month in Seattle and most museums are half off when you stay at participating Downtown Seattle hotels. Hotel Vintage Seattle is a participating hotel so we were able to check to Museum of Pop Culture! It's full of 10 exhibits with props from movies, bands and games! My favorite was the Scared to Death: The Thrill of Horror Film
Saturday was a busy day! We started at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, where they have rare, extraordinary coffee. It's very different from a regular Starbucks and they don't offer the same drinks but the espresso drinks were delicious! It's a huge building with 5 bars where you can get food, coffee and coffee cocktails. Rob said it was "A coffee theme park"...he's not wrong :D
After taking in all things coffee (there was a lot of Starbucks on this trip lol) we headed to Pike Place! Being the biggest tourist spot in Seattle, it was very busy but it was also everything I thought it'd be. It's full of little markets, restaurants and of course fish throwing! We easily spent a few hours taking everything in.
Steps away from Pike Place is the infamous Gum Wall! It was definitely interesting to see the art of gum and for those asking, no it didn't smell haha.
There's a lot to see and do down by the Seattle Aquarium on the harbor as well. My favorite part about that was the view of Seattle, absolutely breathtaking.
Honestly by the end of our first day I was already in love with this rainy, fish town.
We checked out a bar called Unicorn Bar and that was super fun! It's carnival themed with colorful drinks.
On our last day we took it easy. One thing I really wanted to do was go to a Ted Bundy location. As you know, Bundy started his spree in Seattle so of course I had to do my research. We went to the University Sorority houses where he kidnapped a college student in 1974 in an alley behind the houses. It was super eerie.
Seattle is an amazing city with so much to offer. We had 3 full days and I feel like we still have so much to cover. We'll definitely be back! Be sure to check out my Seattle highlight on Instagram for more photos and videos!
