Burbank, CA for the holidays 2019!

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

It's the most wonderful time of the year....to visit Burbank, CA! As you know by now, Burbank is one of my favorite cities to visit in California. There is always so much to do! They especially know how to entertain for the holidays!

First of all, I'd like to thank Visit Burbank for the opportunity to work together again! Visit Burbank is an amazing company and they know all the good places to visit while you're in town!

Downtown Burbank

Our weekend started by flying into the Hollywood Burbank Airport. I've talked about this airport before because I swear by it! It's a great alternative to LAX; less crowded, very easy to navigate and right in the middle of the Hollywood hills making you relativity close to everything. I always fly into Burbank when I can!

We checked into our hotel the Holiday Inn Burbank Media Center which is located in the center of Downtown Burbank near all sorts of shops and restaurants. The hotel was decked out in Christmas decor and the team went above an beyond to make us feel so welcome!

Hotel lobby.

They had the cutest cheese plate and champagne set up when we entered the room!

Dinner was at Urban Press Winery which is a fun wine bar also located in Downtown Burbank. They offer tons of different wine choices and the food and atmosphere are amazing! It has the cutest Italian vibes.

How cute is this entry way!

We started Saturday with horseback riding to the Hollywood sign with LA Horse Rentals. I have never been on a horse in my life so I was very excited and nervous. The whole experience was unlike anything I've ever done though! The ride, the views, the full experience was just so awesome. And our tour guide was so sweet and helpful. Our tour was about 3 hours long but the view at the top was worth it!

My horses name is Wonderbread and he's a stunt horse! He was featured in Westworld.

After resting for a bit we headed to Universal Studios Hollywood for Grinchmas! I'm a HUGE fan of the Grinch and during the holidays Universal Studios hosts an event called Grinchmas where you can meet all the Whos of Whoville and even the Grinch himself! It's such a whimsical, fun event that we look forward to every year!

Universal Studios Hollywood has lots of other festive activities as well, there were so many holiday decorations throughout the park!

After a fun-filled day of horses and Whos we settled down at Commonwealth which is a small plate restaurant meaning all their dishes are about appetizer sized. We got the Warm Main Lobster Canapés and the Fried Chicken. Both were delicious!

Sunday was our last day in Burbank but we still had a few more festive things to cross off our list! Started with brunch at Granville then hit up the RINK for some afternoon ice skating! Very fun and definitely a must do when visiting for the holidays.

We had such a great time exploring Burbank for the holidays! If you're looking for a quick place to visit for Christmas I definitely recommend it! We are always in Burbank because of everything this city has to offer. Check out the Visit Burbank website for the updated agenda. Hope you visit soon!

Brunch at Granville...it was SO good!
